Caitlyn Smith’s Electrifying TV Debut On The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon
After years of penning hit songs for others and working behind the scenes in writers rounds, Caitlyn Smith steps out into the spotlight, making her national T.V. debut on NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The singer American Songwriter calls a “powerhouse vocalist” delivered the album cut “Contact High” off her debut album for Monument Records, Starfire, available for pre-order now and everywhere this Friday, Jan. 19. The singer will continue the celebration hitting CBS This Morning on release day Friday and NBC’s Today show Monday, Jan. 22.
Following The Tonight Show performance of “Contact High,” the songstress shares, “The band and I have been performing together for years, and until we hit that first note on The Tonight Show stage, I did not realize it was all in preparation for this moment in time. Leading up to Friday’s album release, I’ve said Starfire ‘is me,’ but I’m beginning to think it’s all of us. It’s doing this because we love music. It’s writing a song to better understand what’s going on in our lives. It’s performing because it’s the only thing we’ve ever wanted to do. Thank you to everyone who is or has listened and given us this contact high.”
