Written by Walker with friends and co-writers Matt Jenkins, Josh Jenkins, Josh Osborne, and Jimmy Robbins, and produced by Sam Sumser, Sean Small, and Mulit-Grammy Award winner Shane McAnally, the song offers a playful, catchy, and just plain fun alternative to a heartbreak song.

“Trash My Heart” will ship to country radio next week, and impact airwaves on June 8th.
With over half a billion streams, 100K YouTube Subscribers, and a dedicated fanbase that helped him sell out clubs across the country on his 2019 Dream On It Tour, Walker is excited to share this new track.

Kicking off the release with a live YouTube premier of the “Trash My Heart” video today at 10:00am CT, he will also be live on Instagram next Wednesday (4/29), hosting a virtual “release party.”

During the live, he will be inviting fans to request to go live with him, accepting as many as he can to speak directly to, throughout the night.

Walker often finds himself diving into serious matters when writing a new song – like faith, addiction, loss, or love – in a style that Billboard categorized as “personal, soul-bearing storylines; rolling rhymes; and Macklemore-like cadence.” But, sometimes, he just likes to have a good time. Never missing a beat when it comes to that trademark blend of clever lyrics and turn of phrase, “Trash My Heart” is 100% Walker Hayes, but this time, with all the fun you can pack into three minutes.

“I’m usually the guy that likes to get real deep and introspective with my songs, but this song is just all about fun. I want every line of this song to make you smile. I want every line to make you want to dance!” says Walker.
